FFCP - We are a Certified Fear Free Practice. Our trainers use only positive reinforcement training methods and equipment. We also work closely with veterinarians and groomers to help your pet have a fear free experience.
CCPDT is one of the only independent certification organizations. (That means others are self-given Certifications.) CPDT-KA indicates that a dog trainer has passed a comprehensive exam and has at least 300 hours of dog training experience.
Association of Professional Dog Trainers - (APDT) purpose is to advance excellence in the profession of dog training and behavior consulting. They also recognize and give access to the public recognized certifications. The certification rules are as follows:
The certifying organization must be independent with no ties to schools or academies.
The certification must require a test or procedure to measure experience, skill level and knowledge.
The certification must pertain specifically to the field (dog training and behavior).
The certification must require continuing education in the form of continuing education units (CEUs).
AKC - American Kennel Club - Responsible Owners, Well-Mannered Dogs.
The AKC's Canine Good Citizen program is recognized as the gold standard for dog behavior. In CGC, dogs who pass the 10 step CGC test can earn a certificate and/or the official AKC CGC title. Dogs with the CGC title have the suffix, "CGC" after their names

International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants - Jennifer is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant. IAABC's mission is to standardize and support the practice of animal behavior consulting, while providing resources for pet owners needing advice.

CATCH provides a comprehensive curriculum that includes 10 phases that cover everything from puppy development and obedience training to behavior solutions and successful career building. CCPDT and APDT approve its program.

VSRDA is the Southeast's oldest air-scenting wilderness search dog team. VSRDA is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at no charge to the requesting agency. As a team member, she deployed with her Belgian Malinois throughout the state at the request of the Virginia Department of Emergency Management or local law authorities to search for missing persons.
